Materials Engineer, Terra co2 Technologies

Madhuvandhi Ravi is a materials engineer with Terra CO2 Technologies, working on the research and development of low-carbon and sustainable cements for use in construction. With a masters’ in civil engineering from the University of British Columbia, she has over 2 years of experience in sustainable construction materials and concrete technology. After working on her masters’ thesis where she designed and built construction components using waste wood, Madhu learnt about the overwhelming amount of waste produced everyday in Metro Vancouver. She has completed multiple online courses on waste treatment and management and is keen on leveraging this knowledge and her engineering background to build and develop tools to minimise waste or even design out waste where possible. In addition to this, in her free time, she can be found reading books or practising music or playing badminton.
